It’s been awhile since my last post and I apologize for my inconsistency. There has been so much going on and that is a total and complete understatement. I don’t have time to update you on everything that has been going on since May, but in a nutshell I’ve traveled to Omaha, roadtripped back to CA, led a team of students to Ukraine, and witness two dear friends become husband and wife. Now I sit in a KOA cabin in Cedar City, Utah in the middle of yet another road trip to the great Midwest. I have a lot to catch up on but let me start the task backwards and begin with my current roadtrip and eventually get to everything else.
The day started off wonderfully with a sweet goodbye from my boyfriend, Raj. To those of you who know him, you know what a big deal it was for Raj to get out of bed at 7 am on his day off! So sweet.
Melissa named our adventure “Operation Aviation” and what a flight it was! With our Starbucks in hand, we flew through California to make it in time to have lunch with Melissa’s mom, Connie, in Las Vegas. BLT’s and cranberry-grape juice filled me up perfectly. Melissa, being the Las Vegas native that she is, had a brilliant idea to visit a casino. I was the one who came closest to winning. After a few hours on the road and another Starbucks run we made it to our first destination: the beautiful KOA campground of Cedar City, Utah. We had a beautiful dinner of Papa Murphy’s pepperoni pizza and Bacardi silver. We make like sheep and get the flock out of here around 7am to begin the longest leg of out trip: a 10 hour drive to Greeley, Colorado. Yikes. The upcoming drive may sound a bit overwhelming but I have to say, I’m enjoying myself so much! I’m listening to Sara Groves and enjoying the company of good friends. Life is so good. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.
Starbucks in Victorville, CA. Thanks for dropping us off, Charlie!
Lunch in Vegas. I forgot how much I enjoy those guys.
The Barcelona. I raked in a wopping .75 cents. Too bad I used it all.
Driving through some red rock and Utah.
The crew eating dinner.
